Los Angeles – Monday, July 1, 2024 – The Hollywood Creative Alliance has announced today the 2024 Astra Midseason Movie Awards nominees. The Astra Midseason Movie Awards honor the best in cinema from the first half of each calendar year. All films considered and nominated were released between January 1, 2024, and June 30, 2024.
Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two received seven nominations, including Best Picture, Best Actor for Timothée Chalamet, Best Actress for Zendaya, Best Supporting Actress for Rebecca Ferguson, Best Screenplay, Best Director, and Best Stunts.
Studio A24 received the most nominations overall across all categories, with 15 nominations across their titles, including Alex Garland’s Civil War, Rose Glass’ Love Lies Bleeding, and Jane Schoenbrun’s I Saw the TV Glow.
Other films with multiple nominations include Universal Pictures’ The Fall Guy, Warner Brothers Furiosa, Amazon MGM Studios’ Challengers, Netflix’s Hit Man, and IFC’s Late Night With the Devil.
Final voting for the 2024 Astra Midseason Movie Awards will begin today. The Midseason Awards winners will be announced on the official Astra Awards Twitter page on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, beginning at 9 a.m. PDT/12 p.m. EDT.
