
THE HOLLYWOOD CREATIVE ALLIANCE ANNOUNCES THE ASTRA PODCAST AWARDS
June 25, 2025Ryan Coogler’s Sinners Leads with Seven Nominations
Los Angeles – Monday, June 30, 2025 – The Hollywood Creative Alliance has announced today the 2025 Astra Midseason Movie Awards nominees. The Astra Midseason Movie Awards honor the best in cinema from the first half of each calendar year. All films considered and nominated were released between January 1, 2025, and June 30, 2025.
Ryan Coogler’s Sinners received seven nominations, including Best Picture, Best Actor for Michael B.Jordan, Best Supporting Actress for Hailee Stenfeld and Wunmi Mosaku, Best Supporting Actor for Miles Caton, Best Screenplay, and Best Director.
Similar to last year, A24 Films received the most nominations overall across all categories, with 11 nominations across their titles, including Alex Garland’s Warfare, Celine Song’s Materialists, and Eva Victor’s Sorry, Baby.
Other films with multiple nominations include Neon’s The Life of Chuck, Sony Pictures’ 28 Years Later, Apple’s F1, Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts*, and Focus Features’ Black Bag.
Final voting for the 2025 Astra Midseason Movie Awards is currently underway. The Astra Midseason Awards winners will be announced on the official Astra Awards X page and Instagram Page on Thursday, July 3, 2024, starting at 10am PT/1pm ET.
