John Nguyen says, “Everything Everywhere All At Once is insane, wacky, weird, hilarious, emotional, and I’m absolutely in love with it. It’s one of Michelle Yeoh’s most vulnerable performances, and Ke Huy Quan is charming. The rest of the cast is fun, too. One of the best films of the year.”
Grade: A
Heather Wixson says, “Everything Everywhere All At Once is transcendent filmmaking. Michelle Yeoh kicks all kinds of ass, Ke Huy Quan is sublime, Jamie Lee Curtis is hilarious & Stephanie Hsu nearly steals the show. A delightful & heartfelt genre-bender with plenty of surprises.”
Grade: A-
Laura Sirikul says, “Everything Everywhere All At Once finds beauty in the chaos of the movie. There’s so much heart and depth to this story of finding your purpose and appreciating what life has to offer. The acting is superb: Yeoh, Quan, and Hsu knock it out of the park. The film will have you feeling all kinds of emotions: laughing, shouting, crying, and so much more. It’s fantastic.”
Grade: A+
Fiona Underhill says, “So frenetically edited, it is hard to take everything (everywhere) in, but when the film does allow itself room to breathe, there were some surprisingly emotional moments. The costume design is absolutely jaw-dropping and Stephanie Hsu is the standout.”
Grade: B-
Aaron Neuwirth says, “Everything Everywhere All At Once is one of the most inventive films I have seen in some time. The way it can balance characters, story, and out-of-this-world concepts is impressive, to say the least. Managing to also be action-packed and heartfelt, pushes it even further. Plus – the visuals are amazing.”
Grade: A
Shannon McGrew says, “Everything Everywhere All At Once is CINEMA. No words can describe such an otherworldly experience. From dildo fights to talking rocks to generational trauma, it’ll have you laughing as it tears open your heart and stitches it back together. Also need to give a shout-out to Stephanie Hsu who stole the god damn show.”
Grade: A
Brian Formo says, “Overlong and reaching for some pathos that doesn’t feel genuine but more like an attempt to ground the insanity with spelled out motives. But it is constantly inventive, ridiculous, and the sheer number of inserts/locations/costumes to pull off the concept are beyond commendable.”
Grade: B
Nguyen Le says, “Everything Everywhere All At Once is a Daniels-branded clay pot where limitless ideas & limitless acceptance braise. Its components seem to be designed to enjoy when baked, but in truth, they are a sobering demand that you should always see others & yourself as useful & united. The cast & action team will thrill & tickle. Also, the film’s world-hopping makes the one in Cloud Atlas kiddie-pool level stuff. And everything’s valid here: a tax lady going WOOOOOOOOOO Wrestlemania, a leashed pomeranian becoming a meteor/rope dart, KHQ doing WKW, etc. It’s overloaded to the nines & finds no reason to apologize!”
Grade: A-
Diego Andaluz says, “Everything Everywhere All At Once is a multiversal masterpiece that will blow your mind. The Daniels craft a wildly inventive genre-bending tale infused with remarkable depth and heart. A stunning achievement that deserves to be known as a modern action classic, and is easily the best film of the year so far.”
Grade: A+
Maggie Ma says, “Represents middle-age crisis and tax season so well. It’s chaotic and crazy, sometimes can be no logic at all but well, that’s life. Michelle Yeoh’s best performance.”
Grade: B+
Zoe Rose Bryant says, “Everything Everywhere All At Once is unlike anything I have ever seen. At its core, all of the amusing absurdity aside, it’s a rich and rousing reminder of all that cinema can be and all it can do, making you believe in movie magic again as it tears your heart to pieces and puts it back together, in even better shape than before. The Daniels have delivered a miracle of the medium, through and through, paired with powerhouse performances from Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan.”
Grade: A+
Josie Melendez says, “Everything Everywhere All At Once is truly unparalleled. An intrinsically expert balance between humor, heart, and existential dread. It’ll make you laugh and cry, most likely at the same time. Simply stated, this is a once in a lifetime movie.”
Grade: A+
Sara Clements says, “Everything Everywhere All at Once is unabashedly weird as it tells the audience to embrace the power of uniqueness. Pondering life’s possibilities and our regrets is normal, but it’s the appreciation and acceptance of what we have that’s the film’s heart. It’s a cinematic experience that doesn’t come about very often and leaves an emotional resonance. Not to be missed!”
