The 2025 Astra TV Awards Dates and Deadlines

Los Angeles, CA (March 21, 2025) – The Astras have officially opened their submissions for the upcoming 2025 Astra TV Awards. The 2025 Astra TV Awards will take place on Wednesday, June 11 in Los Angeles. The nominations will be selected by a committee that includes critics, entertainment journalists, directors, programmers, producers, writers, and other industry professionals.

The Astras have also revealed that they have revised their awards lineup for this year to include five new categories while condensing their current Acting, Directing, and Writing categories. The new categories include Best Cast Ensemble (Comedy, Drama, and Limited Series), Best Lead Voice-over Performance in an Anime or Animated Series, and Best Supporting Voice-Over Performance in an Anime or Animated Series.

Additionally, there will be ten nominees in each of the Acting, Directing, and Writing categories. The pre-set number of nominees is being instituted to ensure that all platforms (Broadcast, Cable, and Streaming) will be recognized. Each year, the television nominating committee will be responsible for selecting three nominees from a Broadcast Network Series, three nominees from a Cable Series, and four nominees from a Streaming Series in each of the above-mentioned categories. Individual Drama and Comedy Series will continue to be honored based on the platform in which they air i.e. Best Broadcast Network Drama Series.
