The Nominees for the 2026 Astra TV Awards Have Been Revealed

Amazon MGM Studios’ Project Hail Mary leads the nominations with a total of seven nominations.
Los Angeles, CA – June 26, 2026 – The Hollywood Creative Alliance (HCA) today announced the nominees for the 2026 Astra Midseason Movie Awards, recognizing the best films and performances for the first half of 2026.
Leading this year’s nominations is Project Hail Mary, which received recognition in every category for which the film was eligible, including Best Picture, Best Actor for Ryan Gosling, Best Supporting Actress for Sandra Hüller, Best Supporting Actor for James Ortiz, Best Screenplay, Best Director for Phil Lord and Chris Miller, and Best Stunts.
Other top contenders include 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, Disclosure Day, The Invite, The Drama, Obsession, and Toy Story 5, all of which received multiple nominations across major categories.
The Astra Midseason Movie Awards serve as an annual celebration of the year’s strongest cinematic achievements from January through June and offer an early look at the films and performances that have resonated most during the first half of the calendar year.
“This year’s nominees reflect the incredible diversity and creativity that audiences have experienced in theaters during the first half of 2026,” said Astras EVP, Matt Weiss. “From groundbreaking blockbusters and acclaimed independent films to emerging talent and visionary filmmakers, these nominations showcase a wide assortment of films released so far as we head into the second half of the year.”
The winners of the 2026 Astra Midseason Movie Awards will be revealed on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 across all Astra Awards social media channels beginning at 9am PT with a press release to follow.
